1.Every subject/course of Department test coaching/Account test Coaching has its own unique validity period.The Customer/Learner should complete the course within that period.

2.It will not possible to attend the Department Test Online coaching course after expiry of its validity period.

3.No request for extension of validity period of Departmental Test  coaching  on any circumstances will not be entertained.

1.What is meant by departmental test ?

A.Departmental test otherwise known as department test is an online examination conducted by KPSC to asses the suitability of Kerala Govt employees to be promoted to higher posts in Govt service.In some posts pass in department test is necessary to continue in that posts itself. ie, a pass in certain department tests is mandatory to complete their probation period successfully.

2.Which are the different kind of Department Tests ?

 A.Account test (Lower),Account Test (Higher),Executive Officers Test,Kerala education act and rules test,Manual of office procedure test ,Revenue Test,Panchayath test ,Registration Test,District Office Manual Test,Secretariat office manual Test etc..these are some examples of department tests

A.Twice in a Year  i e in  January and July . 

4.How I can apply for these Department tests ?

A.By Making a profile in PSC Department test website online whenever the Department test / Account test Notification Comes you can apply online.Please note that the complete process of Department test Examination is now online including examination.

5.How much it costs (PSC Department test Expenses ) ?

A.As per current rate of PSC ,A one time certificate fee of Rs 210 for each certificate and examination fee  Rs 160/each paper to be remitted as fee for PSC department test Examinations.Note that exam fee should be remitted every time whenever you appear the exam. 

6.How can I remit the Department test fee ?

A.You can remit it by online (Net banking/debit Card) via the same profile itself.

Q  Which are the books needed for department tests ?

Departmental tests otherwise known as department test are the examinations conducted by Public Service Commission for Employees working in various departments ,autonomous Bodies,Boards,Corporations,Public Sector Undertakings teachers for their promotion and for satisfactory completion of their period of probation.

For e g, Account test Lower,Account test Higher ,Account test for Executive officers ,Test on Kerala Education Act and Rules (K E R),M O P,Criminal Judicial Test,Civil Judicial Test ,Revenue test ,Panchayath test etc……..

PSC conduct the tests TWICE in a year ie January and July .Department test application can be submitted in December and June every year for the departmental tests to be held in January and July respectively.The Department tests are restricted to employees presently working.Those who are on leave also can apply.

2.How to apply for Department tests ?
A.Profile making

The entire process of these examinations are through Online.

Candidates who wish to apply the departmental tests should build a profile in PSC Department test website/New Registration .The website link is https://psc.kerala.gov.in/kpsc/ . 150 x 200 pixel dimension below 30 kb photo should be uploaded at the time of making your profile.Name and date in which the photo taken must be clearly mentioned in the photograph. Personal and Official details of the employee must be entered against the column prescribed. After completing these procedure you will get a user ID and password.You have the option to choose your user ID instead of suggested ID subject to availability. Enter your aadhar number as ID proof.

After notification of departmental examinations you can apply by using these ID and Password.However department test profile may be create at any time without waiting the exam notifications.It will be better to note the user ID and password at more than one places .

Application and remittance of fee

Application can be submitted after exam notification through the profile we already made.Fees also should be remitted Online.

Examination fee Rs 160/Paper

First chance is free for obligatory departmental examinations (Free Chance)

*The term ‘obligatory departmental examination’ means-

(i) any test a pass in which is prescribed for the successful completion of probation or training of an officer, whether recruited direct or by transfer;

(ii) any test a pass in which is prescribed for the purpose of making an

officer eligible for increment or for confirmation in any post;

(iii) any test a pass in which is prescribed for promotion to any higher post

coming in the line of promotion in the department concerned ;

Examination Pattern

Examination will be online consisting of 100 questions of Objective Type Multiple choice answer type .The question will be displayed in the monitor provided in your seat .You may mark your answer by clicking using mouse ,any option provided as A B C D.The time allotted will be 1 ½ / 2 hours .The text books allowed by PSC can be carry to examination hall and refer it for finding the right answer while examination.

*(With book,Govt publications only).However some tests are “without book” in which no books are allowed in the exam hall.

One question carry one mark.Minimum mark to be secured for clearing the exam is 40.There will be 1/3 negative mark for each wrong answer.

Centre will be PSC's online examination centre and Engineering Colleges located at different cities across kerala.

For choosing the examination centre State is divided into 3 Regions as Thiruvananthapuram,Ernakulam,Kozhikkode.

Thiruvananthapuram region includes

Thiruvananthapuram,Kollam,Kottayam,Pathanam Thitta districts

Ernakulam Region includes Ernakulam,Alappuzha,Idukki,Trissur,Palakkad

Kozhikkode Region includes Malappuram ,Kozhikkode,Wayanad, Kannur,Kasargod

One can choose the Districts within the Regions on priority basis.

A.Every course/Mock test comes with an certain validity from the date of purchase,check if the validity got expired.

Q.I have purchased the course but now it is not displayed in My Courses Tab ?

A.If you have purchased the bundle in which has already has the same course inside it then the system will show the course only inside that bundle.Also Check if admin has unpublished the course.

Q.I am unable to access Lessons in my PC but works fine in another P.C ?

A.Check if the browsers installed in your PC is of Latest Version,if issue persists even after latest updates, kindly contact admin.

Q.Can I use chrome browser installed in an Mobile phone to access the course contents ?

A.You can access the course contents on all Latest versions of Android Mobile browsers, but it requires sufficient amount of RAM to play the High Definition Videos and Large sized Pdfs. We always recommend using of Desktop browsers for better experience .

Q.Why My test submission fails even Internet connection is fine ?

A.Check with Admin if Test was unpublished and published while you were in middle of the Test.

Q.Why loading of video lessons takes more time ?

A.Video lessons loads fast on faster internet,if you are having minimum 2mbps of network speed and still facing the issues,try switching your DNS to any other DNS servers and check once.

Why Mobile App shows Incompatible in Playstore ?

App requires minimum requirements to work on mobiles,check if the Android Version is Android 4.4.4 or Greater.

Lessons content is not loading and shows blank screen or Server Error,Why ?
